My Story

My name is Justin Ricardo Morales Alpirez, and I am excited to greet you through this. I am twelve years old. This year I am repeating fourth grade because the study method last year was difficult to me. Now, learning the topics is also difficult for me. My mom helps me, so she makes it easier for me. Currently, I am taking face-to-face classes at school two or three hours per day. After school, I do my schoolwork and the household work. I thank God that the feeding program is open again. During the time it was closed due to the pandemic, I missed having tasty lunch there. For me to get there, it takes fifteen minutes by walking. Let me tell you that my mom is a housewife. She sells clothes and shoes for children to get money for our household expenses. My stepfather does masonry and carpentry work. He also attends the hardware store that he and his siblings have.

In order to spend time together, my family and I enjoy having a tasty lunch. On Christmas, which is a special day, we made tamales which we shared as a family. Currently, we are attending Full Gospel Church, located twenty-five minutes away from home by bus. In the time the church was closed due to the pandemic, we got sad because we were not able to attend it. Now, we can attend it again, thankfully! The five-room house we live in is ours. It has a separate kitchen. The house is made of bricks and cement block, cement roof and concrete floor. It has electricity and running water. The house condition is good. In the beginning of pandemic, my stepfather had to close the business, so there were no incomes, and it affected my family’s economy. As food supplies is a basic need for us, we are all thankful to God and the feeding program for the grocery bags we received in the difficult moments we went through. It was all a great blessing for my family and me. We had tasty food thanks to it. The situation has changed little by little, thanks to God. At the moment, we are all doing well, thankfully. To finish, I want you to know that my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I say goodbye to you for now. I pray God watches over you always!

Lots of blessings,

Justin Ricardo Morales Alpirez
