My Story

Hello! My name is Xhesika. I am 12 years old, and my birthday is on May. My favorite color is blue, and my future dream is to become a Veterinary doctor. I love pets and cats are my favorite ones. We keep a cat in our house, and it is a special joy for me to pat her and bring food to her. Speaking about my health. I am epileptic. After the visits that I had to the specialist doctors, they gave me medication to treat this illness. I take constant medication daily and so I have no longer epileptic seizures. I go to school in 6^th grade. I have just passed the sixth grade and will move on to the seventh when school starts on September, after the summer break. I am not doing too good in school and learning, I like sports and playing and the subject that I enjoy the best at school is Physical education, because during this lesson hour we play a lot of games and learn about many different sports. I will no longer be at school, because it is summer break. I met early in the morning to play with my friends who live nearby. We play every morning and during the evenings, before it gets too dark. I have a lot of fun playing games with my friends, and I like to do lots of running while we play with ball. I have a younger brother. He and I spend a lot of time together, especially when we are inside the house. I care for him so that I can be of help to my mother, while she cleans our house and does cooking. Sometimes, I play together with my brother with his toys and other times, we sit together to watch cartoons on television. My family consists of four members who are my father, mother, younger brother and myself. We own our house and it is in good condition. Our family lives in the town of Pogradec. We enjoy especially the summer season in our town, since we have the lake near and go swimming. During the evenings, we also go out for walks by the lake and my brother and I play in the parks. My father is working in construction when he gets hired, so he is not working full time. He goes also in Greece where he is hired by the people of this country during the time they collect peaches or olives. My father goes to work in Greece for a season. The income that he takes from his job there is better compared with what he makes working in construction here in the town. My mother has not worked because she needs to be in the house to care for me and for my younger brother. Her day is also busy, because she does all housekeeping, cleans, cooks, washes our clothes, goes shopping and pays the bills. She walks my brother to kindergarten and me to school and at midday comes to take us. Our family lives with low income and we are challenged financially. I have a few of my friends from school that have taken me with them to the Bible classes of the program, and I am very happy to attend the activities of the church. I am happy that from now on, I will receive food packages as help for our family. My younger brother is also registered in the program. We are both attending the program with our mother, and she stays for the church services, every Friday. Thank you from our hearts for the spiritual and physical care and God bless you!
