My Story

The information is classified sensitive and provided while asking the mother and the child.

My name is Anduela and I am 5 years old. My birthday is in April. I am doing well and my health is good. My favorite color is red and my future dream is to become medical doctor. I go to preschool kindergarten where I spend the first part of the day. I enjoy learning new things besides the time of games we have there and we play with dolls, toys, we sing songs with moves, make drawings and crafts and have lots of other activities that are interesting. Now that the weather is nice, our teachers take us to have short walks or play outside and I like the time that I spend there. I return from kindergarten at midday and as soon as I am inside I spend time to play with my dolls together with my older sister, who while playing cares for me in order for my mother to have more free time to continue with housekeeping, cleaning, cooking, etc. I live in a village near the town of Prrenjas. My family has four members who are my mother, two sisters and I. My family used to live in a remote area in the district of Librazhd and in order for us to be closer to the town, our father has rented a house in a village near Prrenjas. The house is in very poor condition, still we are happy to live there since we have quick access to the town. Our father committed suicide this year on January and the situation in our family changed totally and we are way too poor, without any help or income. My mother has to care for us and fulfil our needs, but we have no income, since she is not working and we also have no land. My mother has found support from her brother (my uncle) and he is supporting our family to have enough food/ My sisters are 16 and 7 years old. My first older sister goes to high school and my second old sister frequents primary school. We contacted the Adopt a Child team and the church of Living Water to receive help and we are happy to have the opportunity of being registered in the sponsorship program. The church and program is helping us with all that they have, food, clothes, etc. My mother, sisters and I frequent the church and especially during this period of time, we needed spiritual help and support, that we found while attending the church. Thank you for reading about me and my family and thank you for your support to us.
