My Story

Hello! My name is Mara. I am 4 years old and my birthday is on June 3rd. I am doing well and I am in good health. I go to preschool, and I enjoy going there every day. My favorite subject is math, because I am learning the numbers and I like to write them. My favorite color is blue and I love to play with car toys.  When I grow up, I want to become a dancer because I love dancing and moving when I hear music. I like to dance at home with my sister and show our family our performances. I help my family by collecting and putting away my toys after I finish playing. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my sister and our toys, and we have a lot of fun together.

I live in Tirana, on a apartment together with my parents, my siblings and my grandmother. We are a big family and we support each other. My father works as a driver, and my grandmother also works, but the salaries they earn are not very high. Because of this, it is sometimes difficult for our family to meet all our needs. My mother does not work, because she stays at home and takes care of all of us. I am very thankful to the Living Water Adopt a Child program for the help and support they give to my family through food assistance and spiritual care. I attend the church of the program every Thursday together with my mom and my siblings and I always have a very nice and peaceful time there. Thank you from my heart, and may God bless you all!
