My Story

Hello! My name is Anais Hoxha. I am happy to share about myself while answering to the questions that the new child registration form of new children contains. I am 7 years old and my birthday is on December. I am doing well and in good health. I go to kindergarten where I spend the first part of my day. I like to draw and color and I love all colors. We have toys and dolls at kindergarten and the toy I like to play with is motorbike-toy. The teachers of kindergarten teach to us many songs and poems that I have memorized by heart. I like the time I spend at kindergarten very much and have made new friends from my classmates there. I like to meet with my friends that live near my house and spend time playing outside for several hours. We take our dolls to play outside and we all are happy to share them between us. I like to help my mother when she cleans our house or fixed our dinning room, before the meals. The rest of my free time inside the house, I spend sitting and watching programs for children or cartoons on television. I have a sister who is older. She goes at school. We spend a lot of time playing together in the house. I live in a village near the town of Prrenjas. The town is not far and accessible. We go there either for shopping or whenever my parents have other things to do there. I live in a very old house and we face poverty. I have six members in my family who are my grandparents, parents and my oldest sister. She is 8 years old. My sister and I are both registered in the sponsorship program and we both go to the Bible classes and benefit help and care from Adopt a Child. My father used to emigrate and work, but he has not gone for a long period of time. He is working in the village where he is hired either on the land of other people or in agriculture. We own our land in the village and my parents plant it every year. During this year they have planted a lot so that the food that the cow consumes during the winter will be provided. We keep a cow and my grandparents feed it out in the fields for several hours. My mother plants vegetables which we collect and consume in our meals and we have also fruit trees around our land and garden. My grandparents are both retired and they receive pensions which they give to my parents who supply their every living need. My parents sell the calves that are delivered from the cow every year and during this time, the income available increases a bit. We are not too poor, even though, we are challenged financially and in many other ways. I receive food packages at the program while I frequent the Bible classes of the church I am happy to learn from the Word of God about trusting in the Lord. Thank you from my heart for the spiritual and physical care you are offering to me and my family.
