My Story

Hello! My name is Roan. Thank you for reading about me and my family through this information provided by the team of Adopt a Child. I am 4 years old and my birthday is in September. My favorite color red and my future dream is to become driver. I spend lots of time riding my car toys in the living room of our house. I go to kindergarten where I spend the first part of my day. Besides learning new songs and poems by heart in our classes, we do lots of other activities as games, dancing, drawing, coloring, sport activities, etc. When I come to the house I spend time with my brother and sister for a while and afterwards, I go outside to play with my friends. I live in a village near the town of Prrenjas and have in my family 5 members who are my father, mother, my brother and sister. My brother is six years old and my sister is a new baby in our family. I like to hold her in my lap when my mother allows me and when she sleeps, I watch over her so that my mother can go and do some cleaning or cooking. My brother is also registered in the sponsorship program and we go there together. My family owns only a small portion of land land in which my mother usually plants vegetables for consumption. We have also a few fruit trees around our land and garden. Agriculture is very less profitable therefore my father has decided to work in emigration. He goes to work in Greece for six months in construction . We are happy that through his work in construction, he provides for our family better income. My mother is working as cook in a restaurant that we have close to our house. she has full time job and she had to quit only during the months that she was needed to stay in the house to care for the baby. We are not considered very poor and our house offers good living conditions. I am thankful that I benefit food packages together with my brother while we frequent the program. I am also thankful to the teachers of the Bible classes for the spiritual education they bring to us through lessons and lots of other activities. Through the program we have also dental care offered to us and we are happy to go to the dentist and get our teeth fixed. Thank you for all your care and God bless you!
