My Story

Special regards from Duenas! I am so happy to share my updated information with you through this letter. I have attended the feeding program for about two years. LW-Adopt A Child has been a great blessing for many families and proof of that is that my mother could enjoy her meals and activities at the feeding program when she was a child. Therefore, she felt motivated to enroll my older brother and me there. I am Clara Luz Guaran Yuca and I am a healthy 7-year-old girl. I have heard that people prefer cold than hot weather or vice versa, but I like both. About my family, I tell you that my parents are doing well. My older brother has speech problems and suffers from recurrent pneumonia, but my mother takes him to the public clinics to receive treatment when he gets seriously ill. I am glad because he is already receiving special education at Open Window (non-profit organization).

I still do not attend school, so I stay home with my mother and play with my toys. My mother dedicates her full time to taking care of our family, while my father works hard as a farmer to provide us with the essentials like food. I tell you that we still do not attend any church, but I hope we can do it soon. Sister Princesa (a member of the LW evangelism staff) recently shared the gospel with my mother, which was a great blessing. Thanks to her, we already know that being obedient to God's will and taking care of our salvation are important aspects that will help us to be admitted into Heaven.
