My Story

This is Nehemias Mahanain, and I am writing this letter with my mother’s help. She is grateful to Living Water Ministry for all the support received, and she asks God to pour many blessings upon people like you who bless many children like me. My mom feels happy to send me to the feeding program because I receive material and spiritual support. I have attended the program for 3 years, and thanks to the Bible classes, I like to pray. I am in good health, and I am 8 years old. I am in 3^rd grade this year, and after classes, I help to sweep and pick up different things.

I tell you that I love the summer season because I can play with water. Here, we are in winter time, and my mother is worried because our house is not in good condition and water comes in when it rains. She earns a living by selling second-hand clothes, and she asks God to bless her sales so that she can save some money to repair our roof. My father helps me financially but it is just a little amount. He is a merchant and gives my mom money at the end of his working day; he gives her Q40.00 or Q25.00 quetzals (£4.00 or £2.50) per day.

I would like to play the drums at my church. We are now members of Calling of the Holy Spirit Church, and what I like from the services are the praise and preaching time; God’s word is good. We know we are God’s children and He has forgiven our sins, so I am sure God will let us enter into His Kingdom. We love God and we are nothing without Him. I would like to end my letter asking for your prayers for our daily provision and our health. I hope to have news from you soon.
