My Story

Hello, I wanted to send you a quick message to let you know how it is going for me! This is my full name now: Mario Oscar Victor Garcia Lopez. I feel so happy. As you know, I did not have my father’s last name. This year, my father Jesus Ramirez Garcia Ruiz, legally recognized me as his biological son. I turned 9 years old in July. I spend time helping my mother cleaning the house. I have attended the feeding program for four years. What I like best is praying for our meal. I am a healthy boy. In Guatemala, we just have two seasons summer and winter, and I enjoy both of them.

We are a family of six: my parents, my brothers, and me. I would like to tell you that recently my mother gave birth to my little brother.  We are so happy for him. My father is a hard worker. He works both as a farmer and as a day laborer. My mother stays at home and she is a housewife. Currently, she is recovering from childbirth. My father tells us that he was part of the feeding program when he was young and he enjoyed when missionaries visited the program. He liked to spend time with them. Therefore, he wanted us to have these beautiful experiences too. My family does not attend any church. Evangelism teachers shared the gospel and encouraged us to attend a church. I pray God pours out many blessings upon you.
