Hello, good afternoon! It is such a blessing to write this letter. I am Maria Erlinda Maricel Batz Coj. and before sharing my story with you, I want you know that my grandparents are grateful for all the blessings that I have received at the feeding program for one year. I usually receive Bible lessons before having my meals, and what I like the most is praying. I am in first grade and I like both cold and hot weather. Thankfully, I am a healthy 9-year-old girl and I usually help my mother to wash the clothes. The area of my church that I like the most is the chorus. It would be nice to serve there with my voice. My family and I attend the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Church. The unity and encouragement that our siblings in Christ provide us have helped us to persevere in our faith.
Unfortunately, I do not have my mother with me because she passed away about seven years ago. My grandparents have taken care of my siblings and me since that time. My grandfather works as a day laborer, while my grandmother keeps busy doing the chores and raising chickens for occasional sales. I tell you that my grandfather suffers from diabetes, but he is under treatment. My grandmother often suffers from body pain, but she takes medicines to mitigate the issues. The rest of my family is doing well. One of my aunts and her child live with us. She works hard to contribute to the expenses. It is time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that my grandmother helped me to write this letter. Until next time!
Kisses and hugs,
Maria Erlinda Maricel Batz Coj
