My Story

Special regards from Chuchuca! I am Karina Yesenia Chingo Garcia and I am pleased to share my updated information with you through this letter. I am 9 years old and I am in third grade at school. I have attended the feeding program for about five years. I receive Bible lessons there and what I like the most is learning about God. I am in good health and I usually help my grandmother to clean the house. I like the hot weather and I would like to be part of the worship band of my church as a singer. I attend the Catholic Church alongside my family. We feel motivated to continue persevering there because the teaching we receive there helps us to be closer to God.

I want you to know that my father has done his best so that my brother and I do not lack anything. He is a single parent and works as a farmer. He also has a modest grocery store and raises cows to sell and earn an extra income. Unfortunately, my mother abandoned us about two years ago. While my father works, my grandmother takes care of my brother and me. One of my cousins helps us to wash the clothes and my father pays her for it. By the grace of the Lord, my whole family is in good health. To end this letter, I want you to know that sister Lizeth (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged my father to take care of his salvation since he accepted Jesus in his heart a while ago.
