My Story

My full name is Marvin Rafael Alexander de la Cruz Ajqui and it is such a blessing to greet you. I am 12 years old and I want you to know that LW-Adopt A Child has supported me a lot with food and other benefits. May God continue blessing this organization for all they have done in my village! I have attended the feeding program for many years, and what I like the most about receiving Bible lessons is learning more about Jesus. By the grace of the Lord, I am in good health. I am in sixth grade and I usually help my father to work in his corn crops after school. I prefer the cold weather rather than hot because it is perfect to wear warm clothes. The area of my church that I like the most is the worship band. It would be nice to serve there someday.

I attend the Assembly of God Church alongside my family. Our need for God is our main motivation to get there. I am pleased to tell you that my mother has assurance of her salvation because she accepted Jesus in her heart. She is in good health and keeps busy selling desserts made of shaved flavored ice, and we typically call them “granizadas”. She uses her income to contribute to the household expenses. My father is also doing well and works hard as a farmer and day laborer in our village. In order to earn a little extra income, he travels to the coast and cuts sugar cane for two months. The house where we live belongs to my grandparents and we share the expenses with them. It is time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that my mother helped me to compose this letter for you.
