My Story

I fondly greet you, hoping this letter finds you blessed and prosperous in the name of Jesus. In this opportunity, I want to express my gratitude for your generosity. Each time you support LW-Adopt A Child financially or with your prayers, you contribute to their social work so that many children like me can enjoy delicious meals. I am Juan Carlos Morente Suar and I have attended the feeding program for three years. What I like the most is learning about God during the bible classes. I am a healthy 6-year-old boy and I like playing toy cars and ball with my youngest brother, Jorge. Because of our young age, we still do not attend school. When the weather is hot, my family and I take advantage to go the river and have a lot of fun. About my family, I tell you that everybody is doing well. The house where we live belongs to my grandparents on my father’s side. Each family covers their own expenses.

I tell you that my father traveled to the United States a while ago. Since then, we have received his financial support. He makes a living by taking care of the cattle and keeps in touch with us frequently. On the other hand, my mother keeps busy raising chickens for occasional sales to contribute to the expenses. As for our spiritual life, I tell you that as a Catholic family, we feel motivated to attend the holy mass because it helps us to strength our faith and learn about God through the gospel. Brother Mario (a member of the LW evangelism team) recently congratulated and encouraged us to keep going. My mother accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my father so that God keeps him safe and helps him all the time. In advance, thank you so much!
