My Story

Hello! My name is Paola and I am happy to share with you about myself. I am 12 years old and my birthday is on July. My health is good. My favorite color is blue and future dream is to become teacher. I frequent the secondary school of children who are of age 11-15 years old. I enjoy learning and studying and my favorite subject I like the best is Albanian language and literature. We start school in the morning and I enjoy spending the first part of my day there. After I come back from school, I usually stay in the house to help my mother with cleaning the house. After doing that, I study for the next day of school. I always find time to meet and play with the friends who live near my house. When we get together we like to have short walks, speak and fellowship and we also play with ball, elastics, etc. and have lots of fun.

I live in a village near Perrenjas. We visit this town often, especially during weekends where we can do shopping and go there also when we need to be seen by the doctors or receive services from the local community. Our house offers good conditions for us. I have in my family my father, mother and two sisters.  I frequent the program and enjoy the Bible classes of the church where I learn about the Lord. I receive food packages at the program periodically and am thankful to Adopt a Child for the food that is provided to our whole family. My father works outside the country and he provides through his job there mostly what we need for the living. He works in emigration for three months and returns in the village, close to us and during the time he is here, he works together with my mother in our land. We own land and both my parents plant in it for consumption, mainly vegetables, wheat and corn. My mother is working more on the land since my father is working abroad most of the time. We have around our land a few fruit trees and my mother collects the fruits to make jam or fruit juice to be consumed during winter. I also do my best to help her where I can with housekeeping I am thankful to the program for every help and support that is provided for me. God bless you in abondance.
