My Story

Hello! My name is Amelja and I am happy to present myself to you. I am 3 years old and my birthday is on November. I am healthy child. My favorite color is pink and future dream is to become a police when I grow up. I like to spend time to play with dolls in my house. and I also like to draw and color. I go to kindergarten where I spend the first part of my day. I enjoy going to kindergarten to learn new things and to play with my friends that I have there. My sister and I go together to the same kindergarten and we get along well together while we are there as well as in the house. I like to share my dolls with her and we spend a lot of time playing with dolls and elastics together in front of our house.The kindergarten is not far from my house and I walk to get there together with my mother or step sister, while she walks to go and frequent school and take classes. When I come from kindergarten, usually I like to meet with my friends who live near my house and we play outside for a while. The weather is nice and sunny and we get to stay longer playing hide and seek, with elastics and do other games we enjoy. I like to watch cartoons mainly during the evenings and I sit to color and draw during the time that my step sister does her homework and studies.

I live in a village near Perrenjas. Our house offers good conditions for us. I have in my family my father, mother and two sisters. One of them is actually my step sister and she is 14 years old. My other sister is 5 years old. They are both registered in the sponsorship program and we benefit spiritual and physical care. I frequent together with my mother and sisters the Bible classes of the church and learn about the Lord. My sisters and I receive food packages at the program periodically and I am thankful to Adopt a Child for the food that is provided to our whole family. My father works in construction. He works constantly and provides constantly what is most needed in our family. We have land and both my parents plant in it for consumption, mainly vegetables, wheat and corn. My mother is working more on the land since my father is working in construction. My mother at present is not dealing quite a lot with agriculture because she has to care for me and my other sister. We have around our land a few fruit trees and my mother collects the fruits to make jam or fruit juice to be consumed during winter. My older step sister and mother do the housekeeping together and while they clean the house, I also help them with what I can do to help. We live with low income, even that my father is working. We are thankful to the program for every help and support that is given to us. God bless you in abondance.
