My Story

Hello! It is a pleasure for me to share some about my life and my family. My name is Pedro Arenales Matias. I was born on September 17, 1944 in San Miguel Dueñas. I am 80 years old. I am husband to Marina Mus. It is my second marriage and I have four daughters. Two from my first marriage and two from the second. All are adults and have their own families. I had a son too, but sadly he died some years ago due to alcoholic problems. I am attending the Liberty Church. About my health, I suffer from pain in my body, and it is difficult for me walk for a long distance, I have a bicycle which helps me to get to the church and to other places where I need to go. About my age, I cannot find a job. My wife Marina goes every day to work at the tortilleria (place where they make tortillas), and she earns Q30.00 = 3.89 per day. She struggles a lot to earn some money to cover our needs.

Thanks to God, we live in our own house. It has two rooms, and we use one of them, but we do not have a kitchen. We use a corridor to cook in. It is made of tin sheet roof, tin sheet walls and concrete and dirt floor. We have running water and electricity, but it is not ours. One of our neighbors sells the services to us and my wife pays it too. She pays every month. At home, we have one dog. We have many needs and some of them are medical attention and groceries. The feeding program is 10 minutes from my house. I get there on my bicycle. I am very happy to be part of this ministry. I have to say bye, but I hope you are well along with your loved ones.
