My Story

Hello! My name is Altin Arapaj. I am 49 years old, and my birthday is on March 6th. I suffer from diabetes, which requires ongoing care and attention. I live alone, and my living conditions are not good. I do not have any income, which makes it very difficult to cover my basic needs, including food and medication. My financial situation is extremely challenging, and I often struggle to afford even the most essential things for daily living. In the past, I worked in various jobs, including working in Greece, but now I am unemployed and unable to support myself. My mother has passed away, and for a time, I lived with my father. However, due to his age and health condition, he decided to move into a nursing home, leaving me to live alone. This has made my situation even more difficult, both emotionally and financially.

Despite these hardships, I am deeply grateful for the support I receive from the church in Polican. I regularly attend the services there, and the church has been a great blessing to me. Every two months, I receive a food package, which helps me during these difficult times. In addition to the main service on Wednesday, the church also organizes special meetings for women, children, and youth, providing encouragement and fellowship. The kindness and care of the church community give me strength and hope.

Even though my financial situation is tough, I trust in the Lord’s provision and remain thankful for the support I receive. I believe that God is always faithful, and I hold onto hope that He will continue to take care of me. I am thankful to the Lord that He is blessing me through the Adopt a Child program.
