My Story

Hello! My name is Shiro Jaupi. I am 71 years old, and my birthday is on April 25th. Generally, I am in good health, but sometimes I experience issues with my blood pressure and eyesight due to my age. I have been a widow for four years since my husband passed away. I live alone and have retired, but my financial situation is difficult because my pension is very small. My daughters help me as much as they can, but it is still not enough to cover all my expenses. Before retiring, I worked as a nurse, dedicating many years to helping others.

The conditions in my home are acceptable, but managing daily expenses remains a challenge. Despite these difficulties, I am deeply grateful for the support I receive from the church in Polican. I regularly attend the services there, and the church has been a great blessing to me. Every two months, I receive a food package, which helps me during these challenging times. In addition to the main service on Wednesday, the church also organizes special meetings for women, children, and youth, providing encouragement and fellowship. The kindness and care of the church community give me strength and hope. 

Even though my financial situation is difficult, I trust in the Lord’s provision and remain thankful for the support I receive. I believe that God is always faithful, and I hold onto hope that He will continue to take care of me. I am thankful to the Lord that He is blessing me through the Adopt a Child.
