My Story

Hello! This is Sayda Esmeralda Benito Chingo and I feel blessed to belong to this wonderful Project. LW Adopt-A-Child has supported me in every way for 2 years. My mother also belonged to the Feeding Center when she was a child. She told me that she got up early when she attended. She helped her mother to do the chores at home before attending the Program and she enjoyed the meals. She is happy that I also enjoy the blessings and support. She is grateful for everything and I love to sing and play in the Bible classes.

I prefer cold weather and I am seven years old. I am in 1^st grade and I am in good health. I live with my mother, maternal grandparents, uncles and cousins at home. My mother continues earning a living as a maid to sustain the family financially. Thankfully my relatives share the expenses with my mother and my maternal grandmother is taking care of me while my mother works. My mother works from Monday to Friday and she rests on weekend. I help her to sweep the floors. Thankfully, my grandmother and mother are doing well.

We belong to the Christian Church and we like to receive the leaders when they visit our home. The LW teacher prayed for us and encouraged my aunt Candelaria to continue trusting in God. We are assured of our salvation and if God asks us: why must I let you enter my heaven, we will answer: because we have accepted Jesus in our hearts. My aunt provided this information.
