My Story

Kind regards from Guatemala, one of the most beautiful Central American countries. In this opportunity, I want you to know that I am so happy to be part of the feeding program. I am Anyeli Pastor Benito, and luckily, I am a healthy 6-year-old girl. My parents enrolled me there about four years ago. What I like the most about the Bible lessons is praying before having my meals. I am in kindergarten and I like helping my mother to feed our chickens. I prefer the cold weather rather than hot because I like wearing warm clothing. I live with my parents and two siblings, who attend the feeding program too. We are members of the Catholic Church and participating in the holy mass motivates us to persevere since we take time to give God glory for all He has done in our family. I like the chorus at my church and I believe it would be wonderful to serve there. My mother has assurance of her salvation because she accepted Jesus in her heart a while ago.

Brother Mario (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged her to continue looking for God, which my mother appreciated a lot. My mother is doing well and keeps busy taking care of my family and me. I want you to know that she was pleased to help me compose this letter. She also raises and sells chickens to contribute to the expenses. My father makes a living as a day laborer and farmer. Could you please pray for him? He has hearing problems and needs medical attention, but he has not been able to look for it due to our low-income resources. One of our greatest needs is renewing the roof of our house since some of the tin sheets are corroded. Although my father does not have a stable job, he does all his best to save a little money and pray together with my mother to buy new tin sheets. Therefore, I kindly ask you to join us in pray.
