My Story

Hello, I am so grateful to write this short update for you. I pray you are doing well and enjoying many blessings from God. Thank you for taking the time to read my information. I know God led you to my profile for a purpose. My name is Gerson Misael Luis Acabal. I am 8 years old. I am in first grade, and I am really excited because we are almost done with the school year. Thankfully, my family and I are doing well. Sometimes we all get sick at the same time and that is really hard for us, but we pray that God will make us better, and He answers us, and He makes us healthy. My dad, Gerardo Luis Ponce, works as a storekeeper in a convenience store in Guatemala City. He travels for two months at a time and then he spends two weeks at home with us. He always supports us with what he earns. My mom’s name is Odilia Acabal Mejia. She is a housewife, but she also makes embroidered blouses to sell so she can provide a little bit of support for our family. My mom has accepted Jesus in her heart, and she is sure of her salvation. We go to church at Prince of Peace Pentecost. I love going to church and learning about the Bible and the stories of Jesus. Jesus is the Son of God, and He is our Protector.

We love participating in the special service for thanksgiving of the harvest each year. It is my favorite time. My grandfather is very important and special to me, because I love spending time with him, and I love how he works so hard. I also have a best friend named Anderson. We have been friends for one year. We love playing tag and spending time together whenever we can. I say goodbye for now. I hope you enjoyed reading my information.
