My Story

It is such a blessing to say hello and share some of my news with you. I pray this letter reaches you on time. My full name is Elida Dominga Rodriguez Chingo. I am 11 years old, and by the grace of the Lord, everything is running well at school. I am in third grade. I love playing soccer with my siblings and friends. My best friend’s name is Herlinda. I have felt God’s presence in my life all the time. As proof of his loving care, my whole family and I are healthy. Jesus is God’s son, and I love learning about Him during the Holy Mass. My family and I are members of the Catholic Church.

Now, let me tell you a little about my parents. I want you to know that my mother is my role model. She is nurturing and keeps busy taking care of my siblings and me, while my father works. My father does not live with us because he traveled to the United States about one year ago. Fortunately, he has a job in a restaurant and keeps in touch with us. We usually receive his economic support every fifteen days. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mother and a member of the LW staff helped me write this letter just for you.
