My Story

Hello! I am Juan Daniel de la Cruz de la Cruz and it is a pleasure to share with you a little bit about my life. I am 14 years old and I am doing my best at school as a fourth grader. I have attended the feeding program for about two years. What I like the most about receiving Bible lessons is being encouraged by the LW staff to learn more about God. Fortunately, I am in good health. I usually look for firewood in the ravines to contribute to the household chores. I prefer hot weather because it is perfect to go to the river. I attend the Assembly of God Church alongside my mother. Our main motivations to go there are listening to the gospel and learning more about it.

I tell you that my mother is assured about her salvation because she knows that Jesus is real and she puts her trust in Him. Sister Yojana (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged her to keep going in her faith. She dedicates her full time to taking care of our family, while my father works as a day laborer and farmer to provide us with the essentials. I tell you that my paternal grandmother lives with us and fortunately, she is doing well just like my parents. It is time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that my mother is grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for the food and medicine that many children and teenagers like me can receive. The main reason that motivated my mother to take me there was the spiritual guidance they provide. Until next time!
