My Story

Dear Sponsors, writing to you is always the best part of the year! I hope this letter finds you happy and healthy. Please receive warm regards from your sponsored child, Geovany Misael Garcia Mejia. I am a healthy 6-year-old child. I was enrolled at school this year and I am in kindergarten. I have been attending the feeding program for about two years. We always thank God for our meals. I spend time playing soccer and toy cars around the house. I love cold season because my mother prepares delicious hot drinks.

My family is grateful for all the blessings we have received in our lives through LW and I know you help to make it possible. Let me tell you a little about my family. Most of the time, my father works as a day laborer. Sometimes, he travels to the Coast during the coffee harvest season from November to February. My mother takes care of us and our home. She helps my father to improve our incomes by washing clothes for others. Please pray for her since she suffers from gastritis. She takes natural medicine to feel better. My father was a child from the program, and he remembers that they did many activities such as football and spirit retreats which had a profound impact in his life.  He wanted us to have this experience too. We are members of Liberty Church in Chixocol. My favorite time are the bible classes. I appreciate the kindness and interest you have shown us. I say goodbye to you for now.
