My Story

Hello! It is wonderful to know that you are reading my letter. This is Marcos Marcos Pedro, your Guatemalan friend, and I want to tell you how my family and I are doing. I turned 13 years old in March. I am a healthy boy and I like playing soccer with my friends. My best friend’s name is Mateo. I am enrolled in fifth grade at school this year. I am grateful to be part of LW-Adopt a Child because of all the blessings I get there. My favorite activity is Christmas time because the staff perform engaging dramas at the feeding program. I have felt God’s love and presence there. If you ask me who Jesus is to me, I will say He is my Heavenly Father and an unconditional friend. Thanks to His mercy, my whole family is healthy.

We attend Mass at the Catholic church in our town. Our favorite liturgical time is Holy Week. I love my grandfather so much and admire his strength. We have lived in the same house for many years. He works hard as a farmer to support our family. I kindly ask you to pray for a stable job for my mom. She is at home most of the time because there are not enough work opportunities in our town. She is a housewife and goes out to work as a domestic employee when they ask her to do it. About my biological father, let me tell you that he occasionally helps us with a little money. He makes a living as a farmer. He left our house since he separated from my mom a few years ago. To end this letter, let me tell you that my mom helped me write and share this letter with LW.
