My Story

Hello! My name is Aneta Lekas. I am 4 years old and my birthday is on Jun 12th. I am doing well and enjoy good health. My favorite color is red and my future dream is to become a teacher. I started to frequent the kindergarten in September. The kindergarten is in my village and I walk to get there. During the first two weeks of September, my parents have bought for me school supplies and a few new clothes that I needed. My friends and I get altogether and play. During the evenings, I like to spend my time with my mother. My family and I live in Proptisht. The house in which we live offers appropriated living conditions. I have four persons in my family and they are my father, mother and my brother. He is same as me, registered in the sponsorship programme. We frequent the activities of the church in Proptisht and benefit help from Adopt a Child. My father does not work, he finds a job when he has the opportunity. He has back problems and cannot do heavy work. . Working hard but he doesn’t earn too much, but we are happy that he has this possibility time by time.My family owns land in the village. In a small portion of land, my mother plants vegetables for consumption as peppers, tomatoes, beans, onions, etc. She filles jars with fruit juice and jam as well as with vegetables as peppers, tomatoes, etc. My family faces financial hardships and we live in poverty same as the majority of the families in the village. We are thankful to the sponsorship programme for the help we are receiving constantly. God bless you! The LW/Adopt a Child church in Proptisht meets for the weekly service on Monday. During the other days of the week, the church has Bible classes for small children as well as Bible studies in small groups for ladies and men. The children who are registered in the sponsorship programme of Adopt a Child are constantly every six weeks receiving a food package containing pasta, rice, oil, sugar, etc. This package has been a blessing to each child and family in the village.
