Child
Hello! My name is Alsjo Pura. I am 5 years old and my birthday is in December. I am doing well and I am in good health. My favorite color is blue like the sky. I go to kindergarten where I spend the first part of my day. While there, I enjoy learning to read and write and we play many games while I am at the kindergarten. When I return home, I eat lunch and get together to play outside with my friends. While I am with my friends we like to play with a ball, but we also have many other games we play to have fun and fellowship. We often play on the dirt roads, and because of that, our clothes and shoes get very dirty. After playing, I go inside the house, and I dress again with clean clothes. I like to draw and color lots of pictures and I do this during the evenings. When I grow up I want to be a police officer so I can protect people. Usually, we have hot summers and for this reason, I will play outside only in the mornings, or in the evenings, before it gets too dark. And during the winter I play during the middle of the day when the sun is highest and it is warmer. I live with my family in the area surrounding Pogradec and I walk for at least half hour together with my mother to join the Bible classes and the church services of the Adopt a Child program. Our house is in good condition and my father, since he works in emigration, brings enough income to buy things that we need for living. We own some land but my parents have decided not to plant a lot of crops in it. In my family there is only my father and mother, and because we are only three people, what my father brings from emigration is enough, and my parents have chosen not to deal with agriculture or raise animals. Though we do have a vegetable garden in front of our house that my mother plants and we also have some fruit trees and vines. Everything we do not eat we preserve in cans for later in the year. My father works in construction and agriculture in Greece for six months and we miss him very much while he is away. I get very excited and happy when I see him when he returns from emigration and I try to spend as much time as I can with him while he is here. I am very thankful to the program of Adopt a Child for the spiritual and physical care given to me. I receive food packages periodically and I go to the Bible classes where I pray to Lord Jesus and learn from the Bible about the Lord and what He has done for us. God bless you!
