My Story

Hello, my name is Martha Kimberly Roxana Ruiz Ventura. I am 12 years old this year and I have completed 5th grade. After school, I like to go home and help mom with the housework and chores. On the weekends, I like to help my grandmother prepare the foods and goodies that she sells along with my mom. My mother’s name is Bufina Ventura Canil. She is a housewife. She takes care of our home and sells food and snacks with my grandma on Thursdays and Sundays. She also sews beautiful typical designs on the typical Guatemalan blouses and sells them. My father’s name is Edras Otoniel Ruiz De La Cruz. He is a laborer, and he also has a little shop where he sells children’s clothes and magazines on Thursdays and Sundays. At home we grow corn and raise chickens that we use for our own consumption. As a family we go to the National Methodist Church. We are very faithful in the church. Both of my parents have a roll in serving at church. My dad is a deacon and musician at church. My mother leads singing for the hymns and is a secretary for the church. They have both accepted salvation through Christ, and are very strong in their faith, praise God. When my father shared this information with the LW evangelism teacher, he told her that he was very grateful for the disciple group meetings that we do, because we are able to learn about Jesus. His prayer for us is that we would be surrounded by a good community that will encourage us to develop and grow in a healthy way. I am very grateful for everything Living Water has provided for me and my family. My favorite food at the program is the burgers and the fried chicken. I also love the Christmas celebration we do because they give us a beautiful gift.  I thank you for taking the time to read about me today. I wish you many blessings in every area of your life. I love you so much!

Hugs and kisses,

Martha Kimberly Roxana Ruiz Ventura
