My Story

Hello! I am Heydrien Huvalder Agusto Riz de la Cruz and by means of this letter, I want to share with you a little about my life. By the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy 7-year-old boy. I am in first grade at school and I like going for walks where there are many trees when the weather is hot. At my church, I like participating in the Bible school alongside my siblings; I have two sisters and one brother. Sister Lizeth (a member of the LW staff) congratulated my family and me because we accepted Jesus as our Savior. She also encouraged us to keep going. I want to use this opportunity to express my gratitude to LW-Adopt A Child for blessing us with food and medicines when we get sick.

I have attended the feeding program for about three years. What I like the most is listening to the Bible stories. Thank you so much for making the labor of this organization possible with your loving donations! I tell you that my mother is a very busy woman, who dedicates herself to taking care of our family. She also sells chickens and fruits at the market on Thursdays and Sundays to bring food home. My siblings and I usually help her to do the chores because we know she gets very tired after work. Before ending this letter, I kindly ask you to pray for the well-being of my whole family and the conversion of my father. As you know, he has problems with alcohol. This has been a very challenging situation, but we trust that God can touch his heart and help him to overcome the addiction. Until next time!
