My Story

Good afternoon! How have you been? My full name is Sandra Gricelda Mendez Simaj. First of all, I want to tell you that my father suffered a facial stroke last November, but thankfully, he recovered and is working again because he visited the doctor and received some therapies. He is a farmer and he sows corn. As you know, he lives in the United States. He sends money to cover our needs every month. I would like to ask for your prayers for his health. As for my mother. She also is recovering from a gallstone surgery she had four months ago. By the grace of our Lord, it was successful and she is doing well, but I ask for your prayers for her. She dedicates her time to the family and she does the housework. Moreover, she raises and sells her hens to get some income. I help her to feed the hens. I am 8 years old and I am in 2^nd grade this year. I love hot weather. I like to attend the church along with my family and we go to the Christian Church. The LW teacher encouraged my mother to continue persevering in God’s paths. We are secure in our salvation because Jesus lives in our hearts. He is our Savior and Lord.

My mother helped the LW teacher with this information, and she is grateful for the plate of food that the Feeding Program brings for many children in need because I am one of them. I like to eat there. The first thing that we do is pray in the Bible classes to give thanks to God. I registered in the Program 7 years ago, and it has been a great blessing for me.
