My Story

Hello! I greet you in the name of Jesus and I hope you are well. I want to tell you a little about my family and me through this letter. My mother`s name is Maria Cux Mucia. She lives with us. At the moment, she is recovering from 3 surgeries that she had on her bladder 5 months ago. She was 8 months pregnant, and she suffered a fall. She went to the private Hospital in Joyabaj village, and the doctor said that she needed to rest until childbirth.  After that, she had a cesarean surgery, but she had many complications with it because the doctors cut her bladder and the womb at the same time. Unfortunately, the baby died and she needed these surgeries which were complicated due to the high cost in the private hospital.  Thankfully, she has recovered her health little by little, but we have a big debt of Q 15,000.00=US$ 2,000.00.  I know, God will provide this money and we will be able to pay the debt. I ask for your prayers for my mother. At the moment, she continues doing chores at home and taking care of the family. In addition, she raises hens to sell and get some income.  My father`s name is Jorge Alfredo Chingo Simaj. He works as a day laborer. He lives with us, and he is in good health. He accepted Jesus in his heart 6 years ago.

I am Jorge Manuel Chingo Cux. I am a healthy boy. I am 10 years old and I am in 4th grade at school this year.  I go to study every morning.  I like to help my grandmother take care of her domestic animals on weekends. LW has blessed my family and my life through the spiritual support, medical clinics and delicious meals for lunch like the Chao Mein that I love eating. I have visited the LW doctor when I have been sick. I would like to be a volunteer and to have a good experience helping the children there. I enjoyed the special activities they did during the Christmas Celebration in December. My family is grateful for every benefit that I have received from the Ministry.

Nowadays, we continue attending the Catholic Church since 11 years ago. I have not accepted Jesus in my heart. The LW team encouraged us to continue seeking God and we are grateful for their words. Thank you for reading my letter. May God bless you greatly! (My mother provided this information to the Evangelism teachers).

Huge hugs,

Jorge Manuel Chingo Cux
