My Story

Special regards! My full name is Gerardo Maximiliano Garcia Ruiz, and I am so happy to share a little about my life with you. I am a healthy 11-year-old boy. I am in third grade and I like attending the Bible lessons at the feeding program because I have learned more about God and pray before having my meals. I have gone there for about three years.  Receiving delicious food, medicine, and Christmas gifts are the benefits that caught my mother’s attention the most. She remembers that she had the opportunity to go there when she was a child. She did not have enough food at home, so going to the feeding program was a great blessing for her siblings and her. Today, my mother is a healthy housewife and sells chickens that she raises to contribute to the expenses. I usually help her with some chores like sweeping.

My father is also in good health and he makes a living by carrying people from one place to another in his tuk-tuk. He sometimes works as a farmer in order to get extra income and support our family. We attend the Prince of Peace-Lamb of God Church. What we like the most are the sermons and singing alongside our siblings in Christ. My mother has assurance of being admitted into heaven because she received Jesus in her heart. Sister Lizeth (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged her to continue looking for God, which I appreciate so much. It is time to say goodbye, but I want you to know that I like both cold and hot weather. I wonder, which one do you prefer the most?
