My Story

Kind regards from beautiful Chixocol village! I am so happy to share my updated information with you through this letter. I am Silvia Tomasa Gonzalez Pichiya and by the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy 12-year-old girl. I am in sixth grade and when I stay home, I usually help my older sister Cristina to look for firewood for our consumption. I have heard that some people prefer cold rather than hot weather or vice versa, but I like both because they do not stop me from doing my activities. At church, I enjoy the prayer time because it is the best way to communicate with God. I tell you that I attend Liberty Church alongside my family. We feel motivated to go there because we can learn more about God. I am pleased to tell you that my mother does not have any doubt about her salvation because she recognizes God as her Lord and Savior.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family because we are passing through a hard economic situation. However, we are grateful to LW-Adopt A Child because my siblings and I have received food, which we really appreciate since it has been a great blessing. I tell you that my father works hard as a farmer and day laborer, while my mother sells chickens that she raises to support our family. She also washes clothes for other people occasionally. I tell you that she suffers from body pains, so she takes pain killers to mitigate the issues. The rest of my family is doing well. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope this letter helped you to learn a little bit more about me.

Kisses and hugs,

Silvia Tomasa Gonzalez Pichiya
