My Story

Hello! I am Diego Andre Gomez Ruano and it such a blessing to write this letter to let you know how my family and I have been doing throughout this 2026. Luckily, I am a healthy 11-year-old boy and I prefer cold weather because I do not like sweating. I am in fifth grade at school and I have attended the feeding program for about two years. LW-Adopt A Child has been a great blessing for my whole family since we have received many blessings throughout all this time. We are members of Liberty Church and I remember that they invited me to enjoy delicious meals alongside other children. What I like the most at my church is the worship band.

The love we have felt at church is one of the main reasons that we continue persevering there. I want you to know that brother Emanuel (a member of the LW staff) recently congratulated my mother for having assurance of her salvation; she accepted Jesus Christ in her heart a while ago. She is a healthy woman who sells cleaning products to support our family. My father sometimes helps me economically. Unfortunately, he is not interested in having communication with me, so I do not know what he does for a living. Despite the ups and downs of life, I am glad because my mother and I count on the support of my grandparents since we live with them. This is all for now, but I kindly ask you to pray for my family and me so that God keeps us healthy and helps us to move forward.
