My Story

I hope you are having a wonderful day alongside your lovely family! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Catholic Church; we go on Sundays. My mother has accepted Jesus in her heart. My mother is Loida Selena Obispo Ajqui, and she is 27 years old. She does the housework and takes care of my siblings and me. My father is Gerber Fernando Rodriguez, and he is 32 years old. He left for the United States last year, and he does construction work; he communicates with us and sends us money to supply our needs. We do not raise domestic animals or grow anything because we do not have space to do it. Thankfully, we all are in good health at home.

I am Zoyla Leticia, and I am 5 years old. This year I was in kindergarten; I enjoyed attending school, and I liked drawing and coloring. Fortunately, my father sent support for my schooling, and my mother could buy what I needed at school. I speak the K'iche´ Mayan dialect as my native language and have some knowledge of Spanish. However, I would like to enhance my proficiency in Spanish to communicate better with others. I hope to continue with my studies and become a nurse when I grow up. Let me tell you that I like oatmeal; it is my favorite drink. The sport I like the most is football. My favorite season of the year is Christmas; I like the Christmas lights and firecrackers. On my birthday, I feel so happy because my family gives me a gift; it makes me so happy. I am so grateful to you and Living Water for providing me with my food; it is so helpful for me and my family. God is so good with me and my family, and for now, we have the daily sustenance. So long, take care of yourself. May God shine down his blessings on you!

Hugs with much love,

Zoyla Leticia Rodriguez Obispo
