My Story

Special regards from Pasojoc village! I am so happy to share my 2026 news with you through this letter. Before starting, I thank you so much for your financial support to LW-Adopt A Child because the feeding program has been a great blessing for my whole family and me. I am Heidy Mariela Calachij Suar and I have enjoyed my meals there for about six years. I like attending the bible classes because the LW staff teaches us how to be closer to God. I am 13 years old and fortunately, I am in good health. I attend the fifth grade at school and when I come back home, I usually help my mother with the chores. Between hot and cold weather, I prefer hot because it is perfect to go the river. At church, I enjoy singing during the Holy Mass. My family and I are members of the Catholic Church.

Our main goal is getting into Heaven, so we attend church to listen to the gospel and strength our faith. We already accepted Jesus as our Savior. I am grateful to brother Mario (a member of the LW evangelism team) because he recently congratulated and encouraged my mother and whole family to keep going. I tell you that my stepfather traveled to the United States some years ago. He is in touch with us and strives at work to send us his financial support. He makes a living by taking care of cows at a farm. On the other hand, my mother keeps busy doing the household chores and raising chickens for occasional sales. She uses her income to contribute to the expenses. I tell you that the house where we live belongs to my grandparents; they are my relatives on my stepfather’s side. Each family covers their own expenses. It is time to say goodbye, but I send you many kisses and hugs.
