My Story

Hello! I greet you from the bottom of my heart and I wish you a blessed and brilliant day. First of all, my family and I are grateful to Living Water because I receive medical and dental attention in the LW clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. I want to let you know that we continue attending the Charismatic Group that belongs to the Catholic Church every Monday. Thank you to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with us and for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit. My mother´s name is Santos De La Cruz Gomez. She is 38 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home. Sometimes, she continues working as a day laborer and she raises hens to sell and get some income.  My father`s name is Roel De La Cruz De La Cruz. He is 36 years old. Nowadays, he continues working as a farmer and day laborer. In addition, he grows corn, black beans, and coriander to sell and also for family consumption. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Erik Daniel de la Cruz de la Cruz and I am 7 years old. This year I am in 1^st grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot with this study method. Fortunately, my parents are making an effort to support my siblings and me at school despite the school fees being so expensive. Sometimes, it is very difficult to cover every expense. In the future, I want to become a musician. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish in order to improve my communication with others. Coca-Cola is what I prefer to drink. Christmas is my favorite season of the year because I like to light fireworks. What I like to do for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake. Among sports, I prefer soccer. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through Living Water Adopt-A-Child every December. I hope you like to read my letter. May God bless you richly!
