Hello, my name is Florencia Lux Simaj. I am grateful to be able to send you this short update and share some information about myself with you. I hope it blesses you in a special way. I am n eleven-year-old girl. I am in third grade now. I had to repeat for the second time this year, but I am finally going into fourth grade next year. I was so excited because I passed all my classes this year. We are finishing classes now, and we will have a break before we start school again at the beginning of the year next year. I know God has helped me through my studies, and He gave me the wisdom and knowledge to do my assignments well. I love spending time with my grandma because I help her a lot with the chores in the house. She teaches me a lot, and we do everything together. I also love hanging out with my best friend, Samantha. We love playing together. My grandma and grandpa are very important to me. They are the ones that take care of me and my siblings. My grandpa’s name is Pedro Garcia. He works for other people to make money for our family. My grandma is Florencia Hernandez. She works in the house. She does the chores and housework. We also have some farm animals, like cows and sheep. We raise them and sell them to make some extra money. My grandparents have taken care of us for three years now ever since my mom left to go to the United States. My mom, Tomasa Simaj, works in a restaurant over there. She sends money back to us each month, but it is not a lot. She has a lot of debt from traveling to the States, and she is also suffering from gastritis. She gets medicine sent over from Guatemala, but she doesn’t go to the doctor.
I hope she will get better soon. She calls us every two weeks to talk. I always miss her when she is gone. My dad’s name is Diego Lux, but I don’t know anything else about him. He left us many years ago, and we don’t ever hear from him or see him. Hopefully he is doing well. We don’t go to church, but I know who God is. I believe in Jesus because He is the Lord. I also love going to the program. They talk to us about Jesus, and they are always so nice. We love the food there and we get to see the doctor whenever we need to, which is a huge blessing to us. I hope you enjoyed reading my update today. I send many blessings to you and your loved ones. Thank you for taking the time to read my information and make me feel so special and loved. I hope you have a wonderful day full of many blessings.
With much love,
Florencia Lux Simaj
