My Story

Hello! I greet you cordially and wish you a blessed day alongside your lovely family. In this opportunity, I want to share some news about my family and me through this letter. First of all, my family and I are grateful to Living Water because thanks to your support I receive medical and dental attention in the clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. I want to tell you that we are attending the Prince of Peace Church. As a family, we are grateful to the LW evangelism team for their encouraging words to my mother during the visit. So, she has already Jesus in her heart. My mother`s name is Rosa Garcia Mendez. She is 28 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home and taking care of the family. Moreover, she raises hens and pigs at home. My father´s name is Tomas Efrain De La Cruz Chingo. He is 28 years old. He earns a living by working as a farmer and day laborer. In addition, he travels to the coast to pick coffee beans for 3 months during harvest season. We grow corn and black beans for our family´s consumption. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries and corn. By the grace of God, my family and I are in good health.

My name is Fredy Mardoqueo De La Cruz Garcia and I am 5 years old. As you know, I am not attending school due to my age, but I play toy cars, balls, and hide and seek with my siblings.  My dream is to become a fireman. Christmas is my favorite celebration of the year because our custom is to light fireworks. I like to drink coffee. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. What I like to have for my birthday is a delicious cake and some gifts. Among sports, I prefer soccer. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child every December.  I hope you like my letter. May God bless you and take care of you!
