My Story

I greet you lovingly, wishing you many blessings from our Lord. My name is Bequer Isaac, and I am glad to share my last news with you through this letter. I live with my parents and two younger siblings. We are members of a Methodist Church; we usually attend our services on Mondays and Fridays. Thankfully, we are healthy, although our economic situation is not good. Everything is expensive, so it is hard for my parents to cover all the bills, including my school needs. Our current necessities are food supplies. My father, Vitalino Jimon, is 40 years old. He works by carrying people or light packages from one place to another on his motorcycle. Besides that, he grows corn and beans for our consumption. My mother dedicates her time to the household chores. Her name is Maria Lopez, and she is 37 years old. She also raises domestic animals; we have hens, pigs, and turkeys and occasionally sell them. I am nine years old and receive face-to-face classes as a third-grade student. I like the current study method because you can learn more about your lessons.

I still do not know how I want to make a living when I am older. However, I want to continue studying to enrich my knowledge. Spending time with my family is something that I love doing the most, so I take advantage of the lovely Christmastime to do it. My favorite drinks are “atol de masa” (a typical hot beverage made of corn dough, cinnamon, and sugar) and water. I enjoy celebrating birthdays, especially if it is mine. What I would like the most is having a piñata (a typical birthday puppet full of candies) and a cake to celebrate. This is all about my life, but I want to take advantage of this moment to tell you a little about LW. It is a meaningful project for my family and me. My siblings and I receive tasty food. In addition, a member of the evangelism team encouraged my father to continue loving the Almighty. At that moment, this information was also collected. I say goodbye to you for now, but I thank you so much for being part of those who bless many families through LW. May God bless you!

In the name of Jesus,

Bequer Isaac Jimon Lopez
