My Story

This Corina Mileydi, and I am excited to share a little bit about my life with you. I live with my parents and siblings. We attend the Catholic Church in our village once a week. My father is Miguel Angel Garcia Garcia, and he is 30 years old. He makes a living in a smithy to support our family. My mom is Estela Tecum Otzoy, and she is 30 years old. She dedicates her full time to our family. She also raises our hens, turkeys, and pigs to sell. She does her best to help my father with the expenses. Thankfully, we are all in good health. We are a family with low economic resources. This year, it was difficult for my parents to cover my school supplies. Some of our greatest needs are groceries. Taking advantage of this opportunity, I want you to know that LW has blessed many children like mine with delicious food. Thank you so much for trusting in this project!

As for me, let me tell you that I am 11 years old. This year, I attended school as a fourth grader. I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because I understand the lessons much better. My dreams are to become a cook and improve my Spanish speaking. My native language is the Kiche dialect. I love Christmastime because I can spend time with all my family. I like drinking lemonade and soft drinks, and my favorite sport is soccer. There are many engaging things to do when you want to celebrate your birthday. For my next birthday, I would love to have a delicious cake and receive gifts. To end this letter, let me tell you that my mom helped me to give all this information to a LW teacher to share with you my latest news. I will leave you now, but if you want to hear something else about my life, feel free to ask me.

Best wishes,

Corina Mileydi Garcia Tecum
