My Story

Special regards from Tunaja village! I fondly write this letter, hoping you enjoy reading my information. My full name is Corina Mileydi Garcia Tecum and I am 13 years old. I have attended the feeding program for about six years. I usually receive Bible lessons before having my meals, which is fantastic. What I like the most is praying alongside my siblings and other children there. I want you to know that I was in sixth grade last year. I did not continue to study because of a lack of financial resources. Today, I dedicate myself to helping my mother sweep as well as wash and put away the clothes. I prefer cold weather because it is much better to do my chores. I like singing, so I think it would be wonderful to serve with my voice at church.

I attend the Catholic Church alongside my family. My mother accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, so she does not have any doubt about being admitted into Heaven. With her example, she has taught my siblings and me how important it is be closer God, who sent Jesus to die on a cross to forgive our sins. Thankfully, my whole family and I are in good health. My father makes a living as a day laborer and my mother sells chickens and pigs to support our family. Before saying goodbye, I want to express how grateful my mother is for all the benefits I have received at LW-Adopt A Child. She used to go there when she was a child and the activities that she enjoyed the most were the discipleship lessons, soccer championships, and receiving Christmas gifts. Until next time!
