My Story

Hello! I wish you a brilliant day and I hope you have many successes in your daily activities.  This is Yenson Wilfredo Garcia Chingo and I am 6 years old. Currently, we are attending the Adventist Church every Saturday and Wednesday. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who shared the Gospel with my mother. So, she is sure of her salvation in Jesus. As you know, last year I was attending school only as a listener. Thankfully, this year I am registered formally in 1st grade at school. I continue receiving face-to-face classes every day. I love this study method because I am learning a lot. Fortunately, my parents strive to support my brother and me at school. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, but I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with other people.  My dream is to become a farmer. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because we light fireworks. Soft beverages are my favorites. I enjoy playing soccer. What I like to eat for my birthday is a cake. By the grace of God, all my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Maria Chingo Gomez. She is 35 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home, also she sells “granizadas” (shaved ice with fruit flavor) in the village.  Moreover, she raises hens for the family`s consumption. My father`s name is Santos Garcia Lopez. He is 35 years old. Nowadays, he continues living and working in the United States.  He works in a cattle ranch taking care of the cows. We get good communication with him because he calls us every three days, and also, he contributes monthly to the family expenses. We grow corn for the family`s consumption. Our current needs are corn and groceries. We are grateful to Living Water because I receive the meals, medical and dental attention, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive at year´s end. May God bless you greatly!

Kisses and hugs,

Yenson Wilfredo Garcia Chingo
