My Story

This is Wilson Antonio, and I greet you in Jesus’ name hoping you are doing well. I am writing to tell you how my family and I are doing this year. We are assured of our salvation, and we still attend Prince of Peace Church once a week. I live with my maternal grandparents, Pascuala and Victoriano, and they and my parents cover my needs. I would like to ask you to pray for my grandparents because they are suffering from muscle aches and headaches; they are taking some pills to feel better. My father’s name is Juan, and he is 30 years old. He is working in the coffee plantations at the coast. My mother’s name is Margarita, and she is 26 years old. She sometimes works as a maid to help with the income. Currently, we are in need of groceries, clothes and shoes. We have hens and one pig at home, and we grow some corn and black beans for our consumption.

I am healthy, and I am 9 years old. I want to become a rancher when I am older, and I have to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect mostly. I am in 3rd grade, and I am learning more now that I am attending school in person. There are times that there is not much money to cover my school supplies, and it is a difficult situation for my parents. I enjoy Christmas time because we have “tamales and ponche” for dinner. My favorite drink is “Incaparina” which is a Guatemalan hot drink made from corn and soy. I prefer soccer as a sport. I do not celebrate my birthday due to our low resources. Living Water is very important for me because it blessed many Guatemalan families like mine. I pray God blesses you.

All the best
