My Story

It is a privilege to greet you through this letter. This is Josue, and I hope you are having a fantastic day with your loved ones. My family and I are members of a Christian Church called Power of the Word. We usually attend our services on Wednesdays and Sundays. My family and I praise the Lord because of his multiple blessings. One of them is LW because it has helped us with food. Besides that, the staff has preached God’s news, which is the most important for us. A member of the LW staff spoke with my mother and encouraged her to continue trusting and looking for the Lord. He also took advantage of that moment to collect this information for you. My mother, Ana Valenzuela, works in her own business. She sells chicken and French fries to help my father with expenses, but sales have decreased because everything is expensive. My father, Eddie Garcia, makes a living as a taxi driver. Thankfully, they and my siblings are healthy.

I am eleven years old, and I look forward to becoming a graphic designer. Therefore, I am doing my best as a fifth-grade student. This year, classes are face-to-face; I think it is better for me. Our economic situation has been difficult lately, so my parents have had trouble covering my school needs. Christmastime is my favorite holiday because you can enjoy that lovely celebration with your loved ones. I like drinking Coca-Cola and “fresco de crema” (this is a kind of Guatemalan drink made of milk and vanilla). If someday I could have the opportunity to learn a new language, I would choose English. I like doing many things to celebrate my birthday, but what I love the most is going out for lunch with my family, if it is economically possible. My favorite sport is swimming. I wonder what is yours? I say goodbye to you now, but I hope to hear from you soon.

With many huge and warm hugs,

Josue Alejandro Garcia Valenzuela
