My Story

Hi! I greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are doing fine. First of all, my family and I are grateful to Living Water because I receive medical and dental attention in the LW clinics. In addition, I have a meal and spiritual support at the Feeding Program. I want to let you know that we are attending the Renewal Charismatic Group every Tuesday and Thursday.  Thank you to the LW evangelism team who shared the gospel with my mother and for their encouraging words to us during the visit. So, as a family, we are sure of our salvation in Jesus. My mother´s name is Candelaria Quino Mendez. She is 38 years old. At the moment, she earns a living by selling fruits at school in order to support us financially. In addition, she raises hens for our consumption. My father´s name is Adan Grave Garcia.  He is 42 years old. Nowadays, he continues working as a farmer and day laborer. Moreover, he grows corn for our family`s consumption. I ask for your prayers for me because sometimes I have difficulty hearing due to the malformation of my left ear. As a humble family, our current needs are groceries and corn. Thank God, the rest of my family and I are in good health.

My name is Denis Ivan Grave Quino and I am 15 years old. This year I am in 5^th grade at school. I receive face-to-face classes every day and I am learning a lot about subjects and I have fun with my classmates. At the moment, my parents are making an effort to support me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive. In the future, I want to play the piano and saxophone. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn English; I think this is a very interesting language.  Christmas is my favorite season of the year because I like to eat “tamales” (a typical dish) with my family. What I like to have for my birthday is a delicious cake and some gifts. I like to drink Coca-Cola and banana smoothies. Among sports, I prefer soccer. Thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through Living Water Adopt-A-Child every December. I hope you like to read my letter. May God bless you richly!
