My Story

Hello! I hope you are doing well. This is Anderson Leonardo de la Cruz, and I am writing you to tell you how my family and I are doing this year. First let’s talk about my mother who does her best to support the family. My mother’s name is Estela, and she is 30 years old. She is in good health, and she sells clothes in the local market. My father’s name is Rolando, but he is not part of my life. At the moment, we are in need of groceries, soap and clothes. We are still members of Prince of Peace Church, and we attend service on Monday. We are assured of our Salvation. We raise hens and pigs for selling and eating. We also grow corn, black beans, “guisquiles”, avocados and mangoes, but they are for our consumption.

I have always received support from Living Water and you, and I am grateful for that; you are very important in my life. I am a healthy boy who likes playing basketball. I am 9 years old now, and I love eating cake and receiving presents for my birthday. I want to become a policeman when I am older, and I would like to learn English language someday. My favorite beverages are lemonade and “horchata” (drink made from rice, cinnamon and milk). Christmas celebration is close, and I enjoy this time because my whole family meets, and we share a delicious lunch. I attended 3^rd grade this year, and it was a good school year because I learned more and had fun. It was difficult for my mother to support me with my studies because she is a single mother and has other expenses. I say goodbye to you for now hoping you like my letter.
