My Story

Hello! How are you? I am Jonatan Alexander Rodriguez De La Cruz, and I send you warm greetings. I am writing you from Chixocol town, and thankfully, my family and I are fine. We believe in God, and we are assured of our Salvation. We are still members of Prince of Peace Church, and we attend the services twice a week. My father’s name is Juan, and he is 51 years old. He works in a hardware store to support us. My mother’s name is Rosa, and she is 46 years old. She works hard at home and tends her small grocery store. At the moment, we are in need of groceries. We raise hens and grow corn, and they are for our consumption.

I am 10 years old now, and I would like to have a birthday party someday. I am in 4^th grade, and I prefer to attend school in person because I learn more. It has been difficult for my parents to cover my school supplies. I want to become a truck driver when I am older. I enjoy Christmas celebrations because I light fireworks. My favorite sport is football, and I love Coca-Cola. I have to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect as my first language. Living Water is very important for me, and I am grateful for the food received. I close my letter wishing you the best, and I pray God pays you back for all you have done for me.
