Hello! How are you doing? This is your sponsored child, Abner Omar, and I am delighted to greet you through this letter. Let me tell you that my family and I attend Full Gospel Church once a week. My stepfather, Hector Simaj Garcia, is 44 years old. He works as a farmer and day laborer in our community. He also travels to the coast to pick coffee beans to get an extra income to support our expenses and needs. Besides that, he grows corn and beans for our consumption. My mom, Irma Morente Garcia, is 31 years old. She is a housewife who keeps busy doing the chores and raising hens. She occasionally sells them to help her husband with the expenses. She also washes clothes for other people twice a week. Thankfully, my family is in good health. I want to use this opportunity to thank you so much for loving me through LW. This project has been a blessing because I have delicious food at the feeding program.
I am 10 years old, and I am in good health. I was in third grade this year. I enjoyed attending school because I could spend time with my friends at recess and learn the lessons well. I did not have much problem doing homework. The economic situation of my family is not going well. Despite that, my mom and stepfather could support my school expenses. It was difficult for my father to cover my school supplies this year. We need groceries, especially corn. There are many things that I would love to do when I grow up. Some of them are to become an agronomist and speak the Kiche dialect. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I enjoy burning firecrackers and having tasty tamales. I love drinking water, and polo catches my attention. When my birthday comes, I get excited because I love receiving gifts. I say goodbye to you for now, but I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a teacher of LW to update you about my life. I send you my best wishes and hope to hear from you soon. Take care of yourself!
Kind regards,
Abner Omar Isaac Garcia Morente
