My Story

Hello! This is a very special day to greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are doing great! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Catholic Church, and we go on Mondays and Wednesdays. We trust our salvation in Christ. I am in good health. I want to ask for your prayers for my mother because she is having low back pain. She has already visited a doctor and is taking medicine. Besides that, the rest of my family and I are doing well. My mother is Angelica Ajqui, and she is 42 years old. She does the household work, and she raises hens, ducks and sheep to sell and help herself economically. My father is Sebastian de la Cruz, and he is 53 years old. He works as a farmer and day laborer to cover our family needs. At home, we grow corn for the family's consumption.

I am Luisa De La Cruz Ajqui, and I am a 12-year-old girl. I am repeating third grade; my learning is going well now because I receive classes at school. Nowadays, school supplies are expensive, so it is hard for my parents to cover them because of a lack of resources. The sport I like the most is football. I like Christmas time because we eat “tamales” (a typical dish) on Christmas Eve night, and it is a cheerful time with my loved ones. My mother prepares a delicious oatmeal which is my favorite drink.  At home, we do not celebrate our birthdays because of a lack of resources. Being part of Living Water is a great blessing for me because I receive tasty meals and medical attention in the clinics which is a big help for me and my family. Thank you for blessing my life through the program; God bless you. At home, the primary needs for us are groceries and corn. This is all for now. Every kind of blessing to you!
