My Story

This is Yasmin Elena Hernandez Giron, and I am writing this to update my 2023 information. First, I will tell you about my family. We stopped attending church, so LW Evangelism team shared the gospel with us; we are grateful for their words. We have hens at home, and some of them are for selling and some for the family consumption. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries, corn and clothes. My stepfather’s name is Selvin, and he is 40 years old. He works as a driver for a blacksmith workshop, and he does his best to support us. My mother’s name is Vilma, and she is 45 years old. She works hard at home and takes care of us. I would like to ask you to pray for them because they are having some health issues. My mother is suffering from gastritis while my stepfather is suffering from uric acid. They have attended the health center and are taking their medicine.

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 13 years old, and I am healthy. I am in 6^th grade, and I am happy to attend school in person because the explanations are better, and I learn more. Everything is more expensive now, and my stepfather does not earn much money, so it has been difficult for him to support me with my studies. I want to become a veterinarian when I am older, and I would like to learn English someday. My favorite celebration is Christmas because we go to visit our relatives who live in the city. I enjoy eating cake for my birthday. I prefer soccer as a sport, and I love drinking sodas like Coca-Cola. Living Water is very important in my life, and I am grateful for the food, presents, medicine and God’s Word through the feeding program. I hope to hear from you soon.
